This is a home-brew port, not an actual release. It crashed 3/5 times when I launched it, and had major graphical and sound errors when it did get past the launch step. Also on Steam it NEVER says anything about mac, the uploader changed the original description from "Upgraded graphics for PC" to "Upgraded graphics for Mac". Here is the link for reference. http://store.steampowered.com/app/239120/
is wineskins port but works fine in my macbook pro mavericks (Y) thanks
@Draqul Either your OS or hardware is old, anybody on Lion+ should be fine as long as they have an actual gfx card and not integrated probably.
It worked twice on my MacPro, now it keeps saying "The program FF3_Win32.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close. Even tried deleting the square enix folder, with no results.

Now I'm stuck playing on my iMac, which still works, afraid it will have the same results at a later date.

I thought this was a legit mac game, since I read Upgraded graphics for Mac, he should of posted it was a Home Brew port. I'll try to make my own port with a different wrapper see if I can get the game back running on my other mac.
Why can't "you people" just mark wineskin clearly - it's an emulator of the inferior DirectX protocol (among other things).

I don't think it's too much to ask. It has an enormous impact on game performance and feel.

Here OSxNoir clearly is trying to con us by modifying the original release text. sheesh.
WINE actually stands for:
Wine isn't an emulator, you're ignorant.
ok so i get to the first airship and i can't get off of it. I've pressed return a million times tried every key nothing works. please somebody tell me there is a way to fix this.
